Shetland Wildlife Response Coordinating Committee Oil Spill Plan

The Shetland oiled wildlife plan was written by the Shetland Oil Terminal Environmental Advisory Group (SOTEAG) through its Wildlife Response Co-ordinating Committee (WRCC). In 1990, the plan became an integral part of both the Sullom Voe Harbour oil spill response plan and the contingency plan for the whole of Shetland. The existence of the WRCC plan was crucial in mounting the response to the Braer incident in 1993. Each year the plan is reviewed by the WRCC.
