The External SOP provides detail on how a Requesting Party can mobilise EUROWA experts and equipment 24/7 to complement the capacity of a local wildlife response.

Part A – Standard Operating Procedure Internal
The Internal SOP provides detail on how EUROWA experts and equipment can mobilise 24/7 to complement the capacity of a local wildlife response. The SOP provides detail for EUROWA organisations on operational procedures in the different response phases, routines and tasks, forms and templates, health and safety, etc.

Part B – Animal Care during an Oiled Wildlife Response
Part B is the EUROWA Network’s joint protocol for oiled seabird rehabilitation. The protocol describes animal care methods during an oiled wildlife response and explains rehabilitation processes.

Part C – Facility Design Handbook
Contains basic information on the design and set up of facilities and the design, furnishing, equipping and staffing of the various departments and support units, the total of which provide the operational parts of a wildlife rehabilitation facility. An informative document for laymen and also a reference document in the education of Specialists and Managers.

Part D – Equipment Handbook
Provides an overview of the equipment that is currently stockpiled by the EUROWA network. The information presented here has been drawn from the EUROWA Database in which the details of each object in the stockpiled is registered and kept up to date.

Part E – Response Concepts Handbook
Handbook for in the field/on-site use, including key technical concepts and guidelines. It aims at presenting some valuable insights from experience and previous projects and activities. These have developed into a range of response concepts that can be applied by managers and response groups as a shared resource in their aim to make a wildlife response more effective and cost-efficient.

Part F – Facility Management Handbook
Provides details on how to set up and manage a wildlife rehabilitation centre as a conceptualised facility. The document provides guidance on issues such as staffing, how to effectively manage a facility, performance under different scenarios and managing facility operations abroad.

Part G – Basic Oiled Wildlife Response Manual

EUROWA Personnel, Work Floor Functions and Job Descriptions
Summarises data from the EUROWA Database on trained responders and their current levels, plus job descriptions for roles on the work floor (BASIC Responder, ADVANCED Responder, etc.). The document also describes specific roles of responders on the work floor (BASIC Prewash, SPECIALIST Dry, SECTION HEAD Pools Release, MANAGER Field ops, etc.).
